Delegates should note and retain the cancellation number provided to them via telephone or the Internet at the time the cancellation is made.

ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATIONS

There are a couple of hotels very near Fairmont, and a few at a little bit of distance. The "normal" rates in these hotels are cheaper than the normal Fairmont rates. There are several bed and breakfast type accommodations within walking distance of Fairmont. A listing with the contact numbers can be found here.

The local arrangements chair can help can reserve student rooms in the student hostel of the university. (The rooms are not that good--no separate bathrooms, etc.--but the rate will be $25 Canadian per day for a private room and $20 for sharing with another student.) Buses are there, and taxi fare will be less than $10 Canadian.

Those with cars can stay in any part of town. The city is small: within the city limits, it takes at most about 25 minutes between any two places.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Availability of accommodations is extremely limited, both in the Fairmont Hotel and outside, in July. Please book your accommodations very soon.
