{"id":111,"date":"2026-05-04T02:08:49","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T02:08:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.podc.org\/podc2026\/?page_id=111"},"modified":"2026-05-04T02:08:49","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T02:08:49","slug":"travel-grants","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.podc.org\/podc2026\/travel-grants\/","title":{"rendered":"Travel Grants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>PODC 2026<\/strong>, with support from <strong>ACM SIGACT<\/strong>, <strong>ACM SIGOPS<\/strong>, and other PODC sponsors, encourages participation in the Symposium and is pleased to offer a limited number of travel grants to support attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants will be asked to provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A short statement of purpose explaining the relevance of PODC 2026 to their research;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An estimated travel and accommodation budget;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information on student status (if applicable);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirmation of paper authorship and presentation role;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A letter of support from advisor (if applicable).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applicants may apply using <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScln-rE9Cn5YA2a7AAIZFw8S-Ds5CJDiTcEb84zURc9reZkYA\/viewform?usp=header\">this form<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The grants are primarily intended to reimburse <strong>travel and accommodation expenses<\/strong>. This year, limited support may also be available for <strong>childcare expenses<\/strong>. Participants requesting childcare support will need to make their own childcare arrangements, as the conference does not provide childcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards will be provided as reimbursements <strong>after the conference<\/strong>. Recipients will be required to submit receipts and any additional documentation required by ACM for processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible expenses must comply with ACM reimbursement policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We especially encourage applications from undergraduate and graduate students, with priority given to those who are presenting or co-authoring a PODC 2026 paper. Additional consideration may be given to applicants demonstrating financial need or coming from under-resourced institutions\/countries. Geographic equity will be taken into consideration. Depending on availability of funds, limited support may also be extended to postdoctoral researchers or faculty members with insufficient travel funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These grants are only available to participants for whom <strong>PODC is the primary conference<\/strong> being attended (participants that choose PODC as their primary conference in the registration process). Recipients must register for <strong>PODC 2026<\/strong> in order to receive support.
