The 2003 PODC Conference is being held in the Sheraton hotel in Needham, Massachussetts, conveniently located 12 miles west of Boston.
The hotel has 247 guest rooms and suites. All rooms have high-speed internet connections. There is a fitness center, a pool, and a jacuzzi. Hotel parking is free for PODC attendees.
There is an informal sports bar "Trophies" (this is where your local arrangements chair will be hiding), and a more formal restaurant "Bullards" on site. There are a few other restaurants within a short walk, and a number of good restaurants within a short drive or taxi ride.

Hotel Registration
A block of rooms have been reserved at the low conference rate of $125/night. Rates are subject to state and local taxes, currently about 10%. To be sure to get the conference rate, you must make your reservation by calling (800)274-3728 on or before Thursday, 12 June 2003, and identify yourself as being with the ACM group.
All reservations need to be guaranteed by making a deposit equivalent to one night's room and tax, or the guarantee of the same by major credit card. There will be no room cancellation fee for reservations cancelled before 4pm on Friday, July 11th. If a reservation is not cancelled before this time, a "no-show" fee equivalent to one night's rent will be assessed.
Check in time is 3 p.m., and check out time is 12 p.m. (noon). There are arrangements for storing baggage beyond 12 p.m.
Students: The Sheraton Needham has a limited number of suite rooms that can accommodate several students each, allowing them to share costs. Please send me (Mark.Moir@sun.com) email before Monday, 9 June 2003 if you wish to make contact with other students for this purpose. Please identify yourself as male or female in your email. I will then determine what sharing arrangements can be achieved if any, and let you know so that you can make reservations with the hotel before the 12 June deadline.
