About PODC
The ACM Symposium on Principles of Distributed Computing (PODC) is an international forum dedicated to the theory, design, analysis, implementation, and application of distributed systems and networks. Since its inception in 1982, PODC has established itself as the premier annual meeting for researchers interested in the foundations of distributed computing. PODC is a prestigious forum with a long history of more than 40 years, taken place in many different countries to better serve the needs of its community. Prominent researchers of the PODC community have introduced various influential concepts and technologies in research areas such as blockchains and decentralized finances, coding and reliable communication, communication networks, concurrency and synchronization, fault-tolerance and consensus, distributed and cloud storage, distributed computation for large-scale data, distributed machine learning and artificial intelligence, distributed operating systems and middleware, distributed databases, high-performance, cluster, cloud and grid computing, internet applications, mobile computing and autonomous agents, peer-to-peer systems, overlay networks, social networks, security and cryptography in distributed computing, wireless, sensor, mesh, and ad hoc networks, and many others. PODC is the home for cutting-edge research on distributed computing with the power to drive industrial innovation. It usually hosts a number of timely workshops, where researchers can exchange ideas and discuss share results. PODC 2025 will be held at Huatulco, Mexico, on June 16-20, 2025.
PODC attracts leading researchers from both academia and industry. It has around 180 registrants per year with ~35% of them being students. Over the years, PODC has ensured the presence of industry in the conference not only among its attendees but also in the list of its invited speakers and through representation to its committees and activities. In previous years, PODC had support by most of the worldwide influential companies (see last page for a list), as well as by distributed-computing startup companies.
Sponsorship Benefits
Through PODC, many sponsors have the opportunity to come in touch with promising students and young researchers that have the potential to play a leading role in their company. PODC 2025 will host a school for PhD students and young researchers providing increased recruitment opportunities. Moreover, PODC provides excellent opportunities for networking and connecting with leading researchers and practitionersin the area of distributed systems and networks. We encourage you to sponsor PODC 2025 to ensureyour organization’s presence at a conference that brings together the current and future elite of distributed computing researchers. We hope to have your support in 2025!
