Twentieth ACM Symposium on
Principles of Distributed Computing
(PODC 2001)
PODC is a conference that focuses on research in the theory, design, specification
or implementation of distributed systems. PODC is sponsored by SIGACT
and SIGOPS.
Features of PODC 2001

PODC 2001 will be run in concert with a special Workshop
on Principles of Mobile Computing (POMC).

In honor of his sixtieth birthday, PODC will feature
a
series of lectures illustrating and celebrating the vast impact of
the work of Leslie Lamport.

This year, accepted brief announcements will be presented
in the conference as short talks.

There will be no poster session this year.
-
The second annual PODC
Influential Paper Award will be presented. Click

2001 marks the beginning of a collaboration
between PODC and the Springer-Verlag journal Distributed Computing.
